Celebrity Look Of The Week

I love Sienna Millers style. Its simple pieces, but she gets the highest quality, and she always has a statement piece to her outfit. So here its her leather jacket (OMG). She teams the jacket well with some jeans (cropped) and a blue blouse.

I’ll do anything to go through her wardrobe. She is always on point.

Top Model: Daria Werbowy

Standing at 5’11 and being voted one of the Top Models of the 2000’s by Paris Vogue, Daria was everywhere in the early to mid 2000’s. She holds the record for the most opening and closings in one season. She was hot property, everyone wanted a piece of her, her clients included: Lancome, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Pepe Jeans, Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Hermes, Valentino, David Yurman, Missoni, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Oroton and Chanel.

Forbes ranked her #6 on “The Worlds Top-Ranking Earning Models” earning approximately $4.5 million from May 2010-2011.

Some people are just blessed with looks and get lucky in life. Daria never thought about modeling until at the age of 14 a school friends mother saw her and put her into a competition to win an international modeling contract, which she won.

She doesn’t do much modeling today. She seemed to go under the radar from 2011.

The Shoes Everyone Wants

Gucci, Gucci, Gucci. These shoes are hot property at the moment.

They have been around for as long as Gucci has been around, but for today’s fashion bloggers, they are the hot shoe we all want.

Retailing at the starting price of $725 (AUD) on Net-A-Porter. These shoes unfortunately cannot be purchased by everyone.

I will be saving my hand earn cash. As these shoes are timeless and go with most of my wardrobe.

Coachella Style

Over the weekend was one of the biggest music festivals in the world, Coachella. Its known for the best music line-up and celebrities showing off the best festival style.

Short shorts, bikini tops, denim, denim, denim.

What I love about this “runway” is that most of the time the celebrities dress themselves in the more comfortable, everyday street wear. Besides Kylie Jenner, I like her, she knows the world is watching so better to make the most of it.

But in saying that. The style is very much the same. Boho. Lets get some shorts, add a small boho shirt and wear some ankle boot or white sneakers. The originality is gone. I find the only person being original is Kylie Jenner.

When is the world is your stage, make the most of it. It will soon be gone.

My Week Away – Mudgee

So, if you haven’t noticed, I was out of action for a week. My partner (Matt) and i decided to get out of Sydney for a few days. We went out to a country town 3 hours away, in the Mid West, Mudgee.

Mudgee is wine country. They have 40 vineyards out that way, but we didn’t spend our time drinking wine. We just explored the area. Went to a small town called Gulgong, loved by the locals for Henry Lawson, an famous Australian poet. Found a national park which is pretty much untouch, very sacred land for the aboriginals.

It was just a nice way to get out of the hustle and bussel of city living and just slow down and recharge. Here are some pictures of our getaway.

Celebrity Looks of the Week!

Kate Hudson can’t do no wrong these days, and she likes to mix her styles around. Here she is dressed for a Guns N Roses gig in Hollywood (I assume). Gosh she looks very rock and roll with her denim jackets and jeans, but if you haven’t noticed the 70s are back in fashion. So she wears the flares, the shirt and the best part of the whole thing, her platform leopard print shoes. Which I need to find and purchase straight away.

I love this look from Eva Longoria, here she is snapped in Spain doing some shopping. I love this everyday look. Especially her poncho. Thats what I want!

Fashion Muse: Inès de la Fressange

Born Inès Marie Lætita Églantine Isabelle de Seignard de La Fressange is a French model, aristocrat, fashion designer and perfumer. She was named in the International Best Dress list in 1998.

In 1980 she made a splash in the fashion world. at 5’11 and weighing 50kg she was the first model to sign an exclusive modeling contract with an haute couture maison house, Chanel, by head designer Karl Lagerfeld, who she became his muse. However in 1989, Lagerfeld and de la Fressange had an argument and parted ways. It is rumored the argument is about her decision to lend her likeness to a bust of Marianne, the ubiquitous symbol of the French Republic. Lagerfeld  condemned her decision, saying that Marianne was the embodiment of “everything that is boring, bourgeois, and provincial” and that he would not dress up historic monuments.

She is an author of a very successful book Paris Chic and also has a uniqlo line named “De la Fressange”, creating french classics.
